bueno. whiff trophy is still alive.
this link opens a window to a sampling from Year of the Awks. i’ve been having a lot of guests since and adventures since the daily song project ended (well, since the last quarter of that project, actually). right now Dilzilla and i are chillin’ in from the rain listening to a mix he made, trying to encode a cd for work that’’s kate ti ve dekuvered.

“songs” pile up in on the hard drive and eventually kind of respond to each other in a way that suggests an “album.” these tracks are a group of misfits in a sense: a few experiments, a little aggression, some pain. the goal of the cover art is to provide a space for the songs to interact. these pieces were molded between, say, late april and today, 2009. thanks for listening! *Year of the Awks is still in production and on schedule for release in 2009.

Just so you know...

Year of the Awks, the next Whiff Trophy release is currently in production, with 7 tracks (more or less) finished. It’s sounding pretty wonderful, I think, though perhaps I’m biased.

Starting immediately, Whiff Trophy is covering songs by request. Fill in the form below with your request and it will be sent to Whiff Trophy headquarters and promptly illed upon (in a good way).

Songs will be posted as completed (please allow 4-6 business days for delivery).
